Project Manager
Summary: Serves as a liaison between Caldwell and the project owner and/or consulting engineers by planning, directing and coordinating of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Contract negotiation and administration.
• Contract administrative duties with subcontractors and project owners and their project representatives (construction managers and consulting engineers).
• Identify, track and control decisions made on change orders.
• Prepare project schedules.
• Scheduling coordination of trades, inspecting, testing placement, installation and application of various construction activities required by the overall construction contract.
• Full involvement in tank construction from project start to completion.
• Coordinate with engineering, subcontracts and construction to maintain the project schedule.
• Assist and transmit submittal packages with the assistance of our engineering department.
• Attend site visits and monthly construction progress meetings to assess project construction, and to ensure the safe and high quality construction of our projects.
• Working knowledge of safety policies and perform site observations in coordination with Caldwell safety department.
• Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: PMP certificate and/or PE license preferred, but not required.
• Other Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of soil mechanics, concrete and steel reinforcement; tank construction, steel surface preparation, paint application; and all associated electrical and control equipment associated with tanks.
• Other Qualifications: Extensive air and ground travel is required. Must be knowledgeable in the various building codes including; American Water Works Association D100 and D110, ACI 318; ACI 350; ACI 372R; local and state building code, as well as, project specific requirements.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or a minimum of 3 years of general construction project management experience.

Project Engineer -Engineering Dept.
We are in need of an experienced, career-minded Project Engineer to be a part of our team. The ideal candidate will be a highly-motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Summarily, this position will work with the engineering team to establish project requirements, direct and review the designers detailed drawing packages; will analyze and design steel tank structures with shallow and deep foundations; and will develop drawings packages to communicate design information. Additionally, this position will assist with support of the Sales department.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
• Registered Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain within one (1) year) required;
• B.S. degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with Structural emphasis required;
• Three (3) years’ experience in tank and/or foundation design is preferred;
• Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, steel and concrete design;
• Familiarity with AISC ASD/LRFD, ACI-318; and,
• Knowledge of AWWA D100, API 650.

Steel Detailer
Summary: Prepares plant and field detailed drawing packages necessary to perform all phases of fabrication and construction, including tank foundations, components and accessories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Prepare details for tank appurtenances such as stairs, platforms, ladders, and piping
• Prepare support documentation such as shipping lists and material summaries.
• Assists Sales department by preparing bid sketches and quantity summaries.
• Keep standard background drawings current.

Education and/or Experience: Associates Degree in Architectural or Mechanical Drafting, or displayed experience that is equivalent.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office and ability to cross train in other detailing software.
Other Skills and Abilities: Detailing in commercial construction experience is a plus, as well as, experience with detailing structural steel.

Software Developer
Summary: Develop, rewrite, and maintain various software programs/applications including but not limited to Tank Design, Foundation Design, Automated Drafting program, etc. Provide training and support to end user.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Develop computer programs/applications to support various needs from Engineering using Visual Basic and C#.
• Convert existing QBasic programs to Visual Basic (or C#) format.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintain code repository for all programs developed.
• Obtain knowledge on AutoCAD and Mathcad to use for the development of the programs.
• Work with project engineers to ensure the programs meet their needs and requirements.
• Install updates and configure programs as necessary.
• Assist end-users with program related questions and issues.
• Train employees on program usage.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio (Visual Basic, C#, etc.). Familiar with Autocad.
Education and/or Experience: BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Hourly Plant Production

(Initial training hours will be on 1st Shift, 630a-3p, Monday – Friday; after transferring to 2nd Shift, hours will be 3p-11:30p, Monday – Friday)
As an Welder/Fabricator you will
• weld and/or fabricate tank parts and components using various equipment, x-ray quality welding and production welding;
• Read and understand blueprints and sketches;
• Material handling using overhead cranes, truck or forklift;
• Operate machinery to fabricate tank parts and components;
• Layout work required and general housekeeping.
Three (3) to five (5) years welding, forklift and overhead crane experience and HS diploma or GED is required.
