Caldwell Tanks Safety It's built into everything we do.

Safety

Our safety track record is as solid as the products we build

At Caldwell, we know safety is something that is within our control. Accidents can be prevented. It’s this mindset that drives our goal of 100% employee engagement and zero incidents. Our pursuit of cultural excellence enables us to navigate safely through dynamic environments.

Getting to zero incidents

At our fabrication shops and field sites, we have well-trained people and detailed procedures in place to ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety excellence every time.

Experienced professionals on the job

We have full-time safety professionals on staff, all working together for a better workplace environment. Dedicated Certified Safety Professionals (CSP) with degrees in Safety and Industrial Risk Management include:

  • Director of Environmental Health and Safety
  • Multiple Safety Managers with a focus on Field Operations, Manufacturing and Safety Training

Additionally, Caldwell has a staff of full-time Safety Supervisors and Coordinators with a wide range of technical safety experience and certifications.

Extensive, ongoing training

Our Certified Safety Professionals continuously train and drill employees on safety-sensitive operations, such as Confined Space and High Angle Rescue. Our written Safety and Loss Control Program, coupled with our job-site planning, provides employees with specific guidelines to perform tasks safely and with high quality.

Employee empowerment

We believe safety excellence comes from a culture of “active caring.” Every employee is required to look after one another and their work environment, and to use their “Stop Work Authority” anytime they observe an unsafe act or condition. Peer-to-peer safety engagement is promoted and measured on an ongoing basis.

Performance monitoring and measurement

We measure and track leading safety indicators in three crucial areas: Safe People, Safe Environment and Awareness Training. By focusing our efforts in these priority areas, we have created a safer workplace which enables employees to be more efficient and produce a product with exceptional quality.
